I have been to the desert twice now, and both times have been to the same location. We are fortunate enough to be allowed to go downtown and on certain trips occasionally. I wanted to go on one last year, but every time I put it the paperwork something would happen. I spent most of this year in the same situation, However time has prevailed and I finally got to go today. I had a very pleasant time and thought it was well worth the money. It cost around $55 dollars for everything. I got to ride a camel, go sand dune boarding (snowboarding down sand dunes) and dune bogging in a land cruiser. We also ate an authentic Arabian dinner and had a grand old time.

Jeep XJ
Posted by bombsquadwannabe on Tuesday, 18 July 2006
I have an interest in off-roading. I enjoy it thoroughly, and would like to be able to do a lot more of it. I own a 1996 Isuzu Rodeo, it isn’t the most capable vehicle in the world, but I do still enjoy Wheeling in it, however the problem comes in when I want to customize it. There isn’t a large aftermarket for Isuzu vehicles, and I want to do a lot; lift kits, winches, custom bumpers, lockers, lower gearing, bigger tires, lights everywhere, etc. I would like to get an old XJ (Jeep Cherokee) and do these things to it there is much greater selection of products available to the jeep line of vehicles. I think a two door Cherokee with a 4- 4 1/2 inch lift kit and bushwhacker fenders with 33″ tires a custom front winch bumper and rocker guards would be a great start. My biggest problem is money. I could sell the Rodeo, and get a jeep then start saving again for all the add-ons, or try to do the add-ons to the Rodeo even if that means having stuff custom built, or I could do something else, If anyone has an old Cherokee that they want to get rid of let me know, Or if anyone wants to purchase a 96 Rodeo let me know about that as well.
